Junior Clerks
Exam Pattern for the Written Exam is as Follows:-
- Exam Will be Objective Type.
- The Exam will be of Maximum 300 Marks.
- The Exam will be of Maximum 300 Questions.
- The Maximum Time Duration of Examination will be 4 Hours.

Junior Typists & Stenographers Grade-III
Exam Pattern for the Written Exam is as Follows:-
- Exam Will be Objective Type.
- The Exam will be of Maximum 100 Marks.
- The Exam will be of Maximum 100 Questions.
- The Maximum Time Duration of Examination will be 2 Hours.

The candidates (for the post of Junior Typist) Selected in the written test shal be called for Typewriting Test containing a passage of 400 words in English in 10 minutes. The candidate selected in Typewriting test shall be called for Computer Science Test (Practical) and the candidate selected in the Computer Science Test (Practical) shall be called for Viva-Voce Test. Candidates attending Typewriting Test are required to bring their own typewriter machine.
The candidates (for the post of Stenographer, Grade-III) selected in the written test shall be called for Shorthand and Typewriting Test. The candidate selected in the aforesaid test shall be called for Computer Science Test (Practical) and the candidate selected in the Computer Science Test (Practical) shall be called for Viva-Voce Test.
Further, the candidate shall be dictated a passage of 400 words in English language in 5 minutes, which shall be taken in shorthand on shorthand note-sheet supplied by the examiner. He shall reproduce such Shorthand test of 400 words in Type script in 10 minutes. Candidates attending these tests are required to bring their own type writer machine.

It will be test of English comprehension. Questions will be asked from antonyms, synonyms, grammar, one word substitution, idioms & phrases, Passage, Cloze Test, Jumble Sentences etc.
Arithmetic–
Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.
General Knowledge
Culture and Religion, Soil, Rivers, Mountains, Ports, Inland Harbours, Freedom Movement, Sports : championships/Winners/Terms/No. of Players, Defence, Wars and Neighbours, Current Affairs, Important National Facts about India, Heritage and Arts, Dance, History, Languages, Capitals and Currencies, National : Bird/ Animal/ Sport/ Flower/ Anthem/ Song/ Flag/ Monuments, Eminent Personalities, Common Names, Full forms and Abbreviations, Discoveries, Diseases and Nutrition, Award and Authors.
Computer Science Test (Practical)
Computer Fundamentals, Windows (MS- Windows), MS Office (Word, Excel & Power Point), Linux Fundamental and open office application, Usage of Internet Operation, Communication Technology, Networking Concepts (LAN, Ethernet, Broad Band, Wireless) and Digital Signature.
