Age Limit :
The applicant must not be less than 20 (Twenty) years old and must not be more than 27 (Twenty Seven) years old as on 01.01.2021. The upper age limit shall be relaxed by 05 (five) yearsfor the candidates belonging to the categories of Scheduled Castes (SC) & Scheduled Tribes (ST) and by 03 (Three) years for the candidates belonging to the category of Other Backward Classes (OBC).
The upper age limit for the Departmental candidates of West Bengal Police only shall be relaxable upto 35 years which shall further be relaxed by 5 (Five) years in case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes candidates and by 3 (Three) years in the case of Other Backward Classes candidates.
Pay Scale :
Pay Scale ofLevel-10in the pay matrix (Rs. 32,100-Rs.82,900)
Education Qualification :
The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university or its equivalent.
Language :
- The applicant must be able to speak, read and write Bengali Language. However, this provision will not be applicable to the persons who are permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts.
- For the applicant of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong District, the provisions laid down in the West Bengal Official language Act, 1961 will be applicable.

Mode Of Payment for West Bengal Police SI Recruitment :
Application window for submitting application through on-line or downloading of off-line application form with printed challan of Punjab National Bank (Erstwhile United Bank of India)/ India Post will remain operative for the period from 22.01.2021 (from 00:00 hrs.) to 20.02.2021 (05 P.M.).
However, the last date of depositing Application and/ or Processing Fees only in respect of on-line applicants using Punjab National Bank (Erstwhile United Bank of India) challan, will be 23.02.2021.
