Railway NTPC Application Fees 2020

 

• General and OBC candidates need to pay an amount of Rs. 500 by online mode.
• SC/ST/EWS/Ex-Servicemen and Women applicants can pay Rs. 250 for the exam.

 

Eligibility Details

 

Eligibility is the most important aspect of any examination. You will be selected through the screening process only if you meet the eligibility criteria defined by the government. Age Limit

Educational Qualification

 

• A candidate must have passed the class 10th examination from a recognized Board by NCVT/SCVT, or a National Internship certificate issued by NCVT.
• ITI is no more compulsory for the registration process.

Railway Board NTPC Exam Pattern 2020

CBT 1st Stage

The 1st stage computer-based exam takes place for 90 minutes. It carries a mix of questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence, Reasoning, and General Awareness. The question paper carries 100 objective multiple-choice questions.

CBT 2nd Stage

CBAT Exam Pattern 2020

The CBAT exam is conducted for those candidates who choose Traffic Assistant and Station Master post. The test language is English and Hindi with no scope of negative marking.

 

Typing Skill Test Pattern

Candidates need to have a minimum typing speed of 30 words in English or 25 WPM in Hindi. This test is for the post of Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Timekeeper, Junior Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Senior Time Keeper, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, and Senior Clerk cum Typist.

 

Marking Scheme

 

• Candidates get 1 mark for each correct answer
• Negative marking is awarded for incorrect answers, 1/3 mark is deducted for each wrong answer.
• Mark is normalized to meet the different exam sessions.
• Mark normalization is also done to balance the difficulty of question papers.

 

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

 

For the Physical Efficiency Test, Candidates will be selected thrice as much as the number of vacancies. The candidates will be shortlisted according to their performance in the CBT test.

 

Result Declaration

The results for RRB Group D is released online. The candidate results will be displayed region-wise in a PDF format. Your CBT marks will be added to the main score to count the final result. The candidates can see their selection according to the results.

 

Document Verification

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) analyzes the CBT and PET performance before calling for document verification.

 

 

Medical Test

The candidates have to undergo medical tests after the document verification is done. A letter of appointment will be offered to those who are tested medically fit.

RRB Exam Notifications

 

Feb 5: The RRB NTPC dates are yet to be finalized. The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) replied to a recent RTI application. RRB will announce the dates once they are finalized.

 

Feb 12: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) are working to finalize a private agency for conducting Railways exam for Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC). They will announce the exam dates as soon as the exam conducting authority gets approved.

 

March 4: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) plans to finalize the selection process of the private agency. The RRB has invited Exam Conducting Agency (ECA) to administer the NTPC exams 2020. ECA can also be assigned to declare the results and list out the selected candidates.

 

April 8: The RRB Group D exams will not be announced before May/June as RRB is yet to finalize the Exam Conducting Agency (ECA).

 

April 20: RRB Exam will likely be held at the end of the year 2020.
