Educational Qualification

Job Selection Process
There is a defined set of process for the selection of Head Constable post in Delhi Police. Here is the step wise process shared for you.
- Written Test – 100 Marks
- Physical Efficiency Test/ Physical Endurance Test – Qualifying in nature.
- Computer Typing Test (English/Hindi) – 25 Marks
- Computer Formatting Test – 25 Marks

Exam Pattern 2020
The Exam papers is available in both English and Hindi language except for the English language exam. You have to qualify written test and then undergo physical test to compete for the job of head constable. However, there is no negative marking for wrong answers.
Each question carries 1 mark for all the sections. The total marks for the written test is 100 marks.

You can then go for the Computer typing test and medical test. However, it is possible only when you qualify the physical round.
Reading and Dictation Test
- The test is to evaluate an aspirant’s potential to receive and transmit vital messages. You will be required to read a passage in both Hindi and English language from the given text. The aspirant will also have to take a dictation test in both English and Hindi languages.
- The applicants scoring above 50% mistakes in dictation test will be disqualified.
Computer Operation Test
You need to qualify the computer operating test. The test will involve below listed things.
- English Word Processing: 1000 key depression in 15 minutes
- Basic Computer Functions: Start/Close PC, MS words, MS office, awareness of Paragraph setting & Numbering, how to save word file, etc.
Medical Test
A certified Doctor selected by the Delhi Police will examine you for the medical test. He/ She will then give a decision.

Step 3: Look for the link that says – Head Constable Application 2020. Open it.
Step 4: Download the pdf file and read the instructions carefully. Save it for reference.
Step 5: Check if you are eligible. Then start filling the online form of application.
Step 6: Enter the basic details like Name, Father’s/Husband’s Full Name, Mother’s Name, DOB, and Category. Add personal details; Educational Qualification, Email ID, and Mobile Number.

HC Admit Card 2020
Please note that it is compulsory to carry your admit card for the constable examination. The admit card is soon to be released. It is usually out one to two weeks before the exam date. The exams date is likely to be announced soon. The process is delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
